StreamBase Adds Senior Capital Markets Executive to Management Team 

LEXINGTON, MA – July 20, 2009   –  StreamBase Systems, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance Complex Event Processing (CEP) software, today announced the appointment of Alan Sutherland to the position of Senior Vice President of Customer Services at StreamBase Systems.

Helping customers like these innovate and grow is a challenge I look forward to.”

Sutherland’s experience includes Director of IT at Salomon Brothers, Managing Director of Technology at UBS [NYSE:UBS], and JPMorgan [NYSE:JPM], where he supported back and middle offices for the Equity, Fixed Income and Emerging Markets businesses across all geographies.

Sutherland has twice founded and successfully sold his own firms. In 1996 Alan founded Sutherland Consulting which he sold in 2001 to the French conglomerate, Altran. During Sutherland’s leadership clients included CSFB [NYSE:CS], JPMorgan [NYSE:JPM], ING Baring [NYSE:ING], Nat West and Deutsche Bank [NYSE:DB].  In 1999 Alan co-founded Broker-to-Broker Inc, (“B2B”), a financial technology company that specialized in the electronic processing of cross border equity transactions across over 80 markets. In 2004 B2B was acquired by Tradeware Inc. to create Tradeware Global.
