Larry Derany, Senior Vice President, Products
As Senior Vice President of Products at StreamBase, Larry Derany oversees the Engineering and Product Management functions and leads the strategic direction, positioning, design, development, and testing of all StreamBase products and industry specific solutions for high-performance Complex Event Processing.
Larry has over 25 years of software business and engineering management experience. Prior to joining StreamBase Systems, he was VP of Engineering and Hardware Operations at Network Intelligence Corporation leading the strategic direction, design, development, manufacturing and test of the industry leading enVision Security Event and Information Management family of appliances. EMC acquired Network Intelligence in 2006.
Prior to joining Network Intelligence, Larry was Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Engineering at Stargus. Stargus was a venture backed startup focused on managing cable modem networks and was acquired by C-COR in 2004.
Larry joined Stargus following his tenure at Elron Software as Chief Operating Officer and Vice President of Engineering. He drove the overall business and product strategy at Elron and led the development of a family of Internet Policy Management products that won multiple industry awards.
Previously, Larry held senior management and engineering positions with Hewlett-Packard and Apollo Computer.
Larry earned an MBA, with highest honors, and a Professional Certificate in Software Engineering from Northeastern University. He also received a BA in Economics from Brandeis University.
