StreamBase Adds Senior Executive to Management Team 

LEXINGTON, MA — April 6, 2009 — StreamBase Systems, Inc., a leading provider of high-performance Complex Event Processing (CEP) software, today announced the appointment of Andy Menzies, former Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Progress Apama (NASDAQ: PRGS), as Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales at StreamBase Systems.

As Senior Vice President of Worldwide Sales, Menzies will lead sales activities and customer relations. Menzies will be based out of StreamBase’s London office.

Menzies has spent over two decades in the software industry, most recently as Executive Vice President at Quod Financial.  Prior to this he was Vice President of Worldwide Sales at Progress Apama where he is credited with establishing Apama as a recognized CEP vendor in Algorithmic Trading applications. Previous roles also include sales management positions at SAP (NYSE:SAP), BusinessObjects & Cognos (NYSE:IBM).
